Icons

If you feel this forum is too "boring", feel free to submit icons! If they are good, I may use them on the site. Below are a few guidelines when posting your icons:

Size:
Please make sure your icons are not too large or small. On the homepage, the read/unread icons, a good size for a complete square is around 42X42. If it is more of a rectangle like the current icons, make your's 41X43. If you have a tiny icon (e.g. home, portal, faq, search, memberlist, etc.) I would prefer 12X13. or close to that. If you have used Microsoft office programs, you may have Mircosoft Photo Editor installed on your computer. That is great for resizing images. Look for it in your start menu. If you do not have that program, there are many other image editors, or you can use this website.

Formats:
When saving your images, I would prefer a .jpeg, .bitmap, or .gif.

Other Guidelines:
Please have your pictures hosted on the internet. I cannot take them off your computers hard disk or other storage no matter how hard I try. Please have them hosted. Below are some good websites:

- Servimg
- Photobucket
- Image shack
- Many, many, more. (not a link)

I have seen these image websites. My favorite is photobucket. They are all free, but photobucket accounts can be upgraded. But, a gigabyte of storage is plenty for me. Photobucket stores videos as well. I have had little experience with the other ones.

Yes, boot coot does have some talent as far as that is concerned. But, he has now made them all blurry because he thinks it looks "better" that way. Before, the icons looked great. They're all under a storm cloud that dude mistro stole their old (better) icons.

and Dude Mistro should go out and buy his own photo editing software and use his own time to make icons and not pinch other peoples. this isnt about 'copyrights'. this is about someone being lazy and taking someones elses work, can you not see that 2 bunny? it takes time to edit, upload etc etc

hello 2 bunny, i am more steamed up at the principle of taking someones work, now that he has them he can keep them as we have new ones now anyway. do you like my new 'moving icons' for new posts?

Yep, you've got a point. I like the bouncy icons, but if they could be just a tiny bit smaller, it would be even better. Don't worry about guest day. It is closely moderated and only on Saturday. It is turned off now. Feel free to register! If it gets abused, it will be taken away.
